I don't want to chime in on the Wordpress drama except that I think perhaps someone is "high" on something. Over the past 10 years I have nothing but rejected Wordpress projects — even if it meant substantial gains in income if I accepted 🤷‍♂️ OK, enough. Such a shame all this.

I am looking at mechanical keyboards!!! My past self would have shouted in horror 🤪

I’ve seen a Mac app that allows control of third party screens, using the native counterpart on the screen, when pressing the modifier keys on an Apple keyboard. Does anyone have the name of that app? I think it was open source and also perhaps paid for…

Rewatching the SpaceX launch yesterday, and when Mechazilla catches the Super Heavy, so fucking amazing. It gives me goosebumps! Fantastic. I love living in the future.

I bought a mouse... that's not made by Apple (and that's the important part). Happy so far. Hopefully my hand, without straining or getting a cramp, will love the Logitech MX — it feels fantastic and is quiet.

I didn't have a chance to experience Ubuntu (running Omakub) on my Mac for too long, however one thing I instantly loved is pressing the Super key and it showing your workspaces (like Spaces) — and the ability to type and search for a program instantly here. Far superior to macOS.

Spaces is a big workflow of mine and I am happy this is something I wont have to worry about. More things to discover for "replacement" (like centering windows on a hot key for when you moved them around etc).

“Would you mind leaving a review? It would encourage the devs”.

Options are: “Yes” and “No”.

So I should press “No”.  “No, I don’t mind leaving a review”. Which was the wrong choice.

I've been upgrading some of my projects to use the full "solid trifecta": solid_queue, solid_cache and solid_cable — all with their respective sqlite databases. Feels great! Great to be able to drop Redis as a bonus! More projects to upgrade now.

Kinda cool that the Android simulator can access the camera on the machine... which means you can test things out! NICE!

So my Mac is back up and running and working again as of last night. Good exercise (and painless) and it's nice to have a fresh system. Decided to also downgrade back to Sonoma (was tempted to go back further, but didn't).
